Vice Admiral Bradley Nominated for USSOCOM Commander

The Department of Defense announced on June 3, 2025, that the president has nominated Navy Vice Admiral Frank M. Bradley for appointment to the grade of admiral, with assignment as commander, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Bradley is currently serving as the commander of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Bradley is a U.S. Navy SEAL officer and a 1991 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He began his career as a SEAL in 1992. He has served in numerous assignments in special operations to include:

  • Cdr of Special Operations Command Central
  • Cdr of Naval Special Warfare Development Group
  • SEAL Team FOUR
  • SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team TWO
  • Italian Incursori (international exhange officer)
  • Served multiple tours in command of joint task forces
  • Served in multiple positions on the Joint Staff
